Property Damage Done By Wildlife
A person who may suffer damage caused by wild game must, as a responsible property owner, take all necessary measures to protect their property in an appropriate manner.
Owners of agricultural and forest land within hunting grounds are required to use the appropriate protective equipment provided by the hunting ground manager and implement other prescribed measures to prevent damage caused by game.
If damage cannot be prevented by any means, the affected party may request the hunting ground manager to take appropriate steps to prevent further damage.
The Minister determines the types of measures and the methods of funding their implementation.
If the owner, tenant, or other user of the land fails to allow the hunting ground manager to secure the land, obstructs them, removes means or barriers that prevent damage, or prohibits hunting, intentionally damages or removes hunting facilities, they are not entitled to compensation for damage caused by game in those areas.
The affected party is required to report any damage to agricultural or forest land in writing to an authorized representative. The representative must then publish the personal data and address of the affected party in a locally customary manner within three days of when the damage was noticed, and no later than December 31 of the current year.
Commission for assessment of game damage:
-
Damijan Maurič, President of the Commission
-

Written reports of damage caused must be sent in writing with a form to the address of the Hunting Society Boč na Kozjak or to srecko.krope@siol.net .
